25-ga microsurgery instruments are so gentle that they allow intraocular operations to be performed with a minimal incision, so no sutures are required after the operation. Following the surgery, the eye appears almost the same as it did before the operation; there are no irritating stitches and a minimum of bleeding into the conjunctiva. Several days after the operation, it is practically impossible to discern which eye has been operated on.
